About Us

Stellar Catering is a marriage between two Sonoma food powerhouses: Bruce Riezenman, one of California wine country’s top chefs and authors, founder of green-certified Park Avenue Catering; and Ari Weiswasser, fellow CIA-graduate, who cut his culinary teeth in Paul Liebrandt’s Corton and Thomas Keller’s French Laundry. Ari opened his acclaimed restaurant Glen Ellen Star in 2012.

Together, Ari and Bruce conceptualized live, wood-fired cooking as a new California wine country staple. Enamored by open flame cooking, the pair brought together Bruce’s expertise in crafting memorable food events, with Ari’s flair in melding local, seasonal flavors.

Popular for wine country weddings, rehearsal dinners and social family gatherings, “off-table” catering allows for a variety of dining options, including buffet or family-style. Food is what brings us together, and Stellar Catering focuses on making a remarkable meal to complement your event.
